Rickenbacker had always been the name associated with 12-string electric guitars. From mid- 1965 through 1969 Fender made a solid body Electric XII to try and compete with the Rics. It has the classic Fender shape with its signature “hockey stick” headstock with six tuners on a side and actually plays and sounds great. This example is a 1966 in a sunburst finish and is in immaculate condition.

Ice Blue Metallic is one of the rarest colors in the Fender custom color roster. That’s what we see here on this 1967 Custom Telecaster. This guitar is beautiful; the ice blue metallic finish is set off by the white binding. It is no small wonder that Fender has started to produce guitars like this one out of their Custom Shop. It is a stunning guitar and it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

Talking about rare birds; here is a truly hard to find guitar. This beauty is a 1972 Custom Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue with a factory Bigsby vibrato. It doesn’t get any cooler than this. She looks like a million bucks and plays and sounds like it too. Add to that the Bigsby vibrato and this guitar is pretty hard to top.
