This is a 1954 Fender Stratocaster. We all know it’s the first year of issue for the “sound heard round the world.” This one is all original. The bakelite is still in great condition. The maple neck has that wonderful soft “v” shape and the original frets are “like new.” The pickups have that unmistakable sound and the finish on this strat is in great shape considering it’s 47 years old. Tweed case…of course.

This 1954 Fender Stratocaster was definitely played and enjoyed. What a classic… still in its tweed case. After all these years she has maintained her originality and more importantly, her tone.

An extremely rare bird…first year of issue…1954. It’s a hardtail Stratocaster. This guitar has all its bakelite parts and is in great condition as well, not to mention a great center-pocket tweed case.

Here we have a 1954 Fender Stratocaster. The straight-grained ash shines through the two-tone sunburst finish on this classic. Although this baby was played some, it still has plenty of its original frets left. This one has a slightly harder “v” shaped neck and three really smokin’ pickups. She comes with her tweed case as well.

Talk about rare. When Fender first started making strats in 1954 they put the serial number on the bakelite trem-cavity cover. When most players began taking those off their guitar to facilitate changing strings Fender realized they had to switch the serial # to the neck plate. What a classic.

Every once in a while we get a guitar that just makes you come undone. This is the one! This original all Gold wrap around “Goldie” was pro played it’s entire life by the guitar player for the Chicago Tonight show Frank Haggerty. Frank also did loads of session work and played with greats such as Frank Sinatra. The guitar is well worn from many nights of heavy gigging. Guitar has been refretted and there are minor solder issues, but otherwise it’s all there. Guitar plays like butter and has that “cats scratching on glass” snarl. Ships in a later Hard shell case and includes a book written about Frank Haggerty which includes a story and pictures of this very guitar.
